The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
