The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to begin their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit the metropolitan area:

- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a nasty location.
- The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could enable the group enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.

This means them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in quest for the traitor.
